Meanwhile, Kipchoge, who is also an Olympic champion, said in a tweet that he is grateful that some key moments from his career are now available as NFT. He wrote:
I can say that I am very grateful to now have the highlights of my NFT career in my hands. I hope he gives someone in the world the same positive memories he gave me.
At the same time, the report states that Momentible.io created the NFT artwork in collaboration with Kipchoge. He added that the video message was an official confirmation and authentication that it came from Kipchoge himself.
At the 2019 INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Kipchoge became the first person to run 42 kilometers and 195 meters in under 2 hours. With the NFT auction, Marathoner joins the growing list of other celebrities who have ventured into the NFT adventure.
